Introducing the Learning Management System

Learning Management System is mostly seen as the critical or starting point of any program which is related to e-learning or blended program. The perspective is seen from the control as well as management standpoint, but antithetical to the process in which usually people today learn. LMS like Blackboard, WebCT offer your organization the best value by giving you the means to sequence content as well as creating manageable structure for your staff which maybe administrative or instructors.

This learning system that is available today is not a universal solution that can be used to corporation’s e-learning problems. In fact, is it more an albatross that is around the neck of the technology enhanced learning progress. The problem is not that this system is not required for learning, the major issue is that in this system vendors attempt to place their tools making it the e-learning centre point, resulting in removing control from the entire system end users- learners and instructors. The unfortunate part is the starting to learn with this system is mostly a matter of wrong tool for the process which is wrong. Implementing this learning system as a part of a learning holistic environment will give the end users some control and flexibility to move in different directions which are learning needs, not the design of the system.
