Impervious porcelain tiles

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

There is one thing that is very remarkable about the maple wood.  The maple hardwood flooring has a smoother appearance and has high gloss finish.  This is because of the pores.  The pores are so small, they are almost invisible and this gives the smoother appearance.  The maple wood responds to antiquing methods.  The Somerset hardwood flooring is one of the top manufacturers of the maple hardwood flooring.  They have a beautiful collection that is devoted to maple hardwood floors alone.  All the fans of the maple wood would enjoy this collection.

The Italian porcelain tile is stronger and more durable than the ceramic tiles.  This is right in most of the cases.  Even though the porcelain tiles are strong and durable these tiles are also ceramic tiles.  It is a type of ceramic clay.  The porcelain tiles in general are said to have lowest absorption rates of all the ceramic tiles.  A ceramic tile that is termed as a porcelain tile would not be able to absorb more than 0.5 percent of water in its total mass.  There are tiles which absorb even lesser which might be only 0.1 percent.  This is the reason these tiles are called impervious.
